MINRI is a Finnish one-woman company that was born out of a love for fibre arts, crafting and especially knitting. It is a passion for learning new things and making things by hand. It is the joy of being domestic and of sustainably produced products. You can learn everything and you can always learn something new. The fact that you “don’t know something” is no reason for me not to try!

My grandmother taught me to knit in 1990 when I was six years old. It was a love for the game from the beginning and I have knitted my whole life from that moment on. Everything hand-crafted and DIY has always been close to my heart.

Before Minri, I worked in the healthcare and in the retail sector. However, my own serious illness a few years ago suddenly changed the order of values. A serious illness often makes it clear to a person that time is not infinite. If you really want to do something in your life, putting it off is always a bit of a gamble - you never know when it's be too late.

My own business is something I have wanted for a long time. Minri is my dream come true.
